We will be using them to make ashes for Ash Wednesday. Your participation helps us prepare for the season of Lent. Thank you!

Saturday April 19th @ 11:00 AM Come and join us for an Easter Blessing of Baskets upstairs. This tradition from the Middle Ages, started in Italy and Spain, and is now popular in Slavic countries, Poland, Germany and Austria. What to put in the basket? Eggs—symbol of life and Jesus’ tomb (can be painted or decorated), Meat—Jesus is the Lamb of God, Salt and Bread. You can also add something sweet, like a pastry or pie Following the blessing, come downstairs to the parish hall for a coffee and discussion with Konrad Kobielewski, vice president of the Canadian Polish Congress, on the background and future of the annual Polish Festival, an important North Shore tradition. There will be baking, plants, jewelry, baby items, cards and a silent auction for a needlepoint Madonna. Be sure to Come to the Fair to enjoy all the wonderful offerings. Let family and friends know.....Mother's Day is just around the corner.
The annual March for Life in Victoria, BC takes place on Thursday, May 8. The participants meet at Centennial Square and march down Government Street to a rally at the parliament building. The March is a public witness to the sanctity of human life and a message to the provincial government of the need for changing the law to protect the most vulnerable, especially the unborn and the elderly. On Thursday, May 8, at 9:00 a.m. at the BC Legislative Assembly in Victoria.
