  • Easter Blessing of Baskets

    Holy Saturday April 4th @ 11:00 AM Location Foyer All parishioners are welcome to join us for this tradition, full of beautiful catholic symbolism.  What to put in the basket?  Eggs — symbol of Jesus’ tomb, representing His Resurrection. Meat — symbol of Jesus as The Lamb of God. Bread — reminds us that Jesus is The Bread of Life.  Salt — reminds us that we are The Salt of the Earth.  Oil and vinegar — symbol of the Passion of Christ and the bitter of Passover.  Wine — symbol of the Blood of the Lord.  A white candle — symbol of the Light of the World.  Lastly, the basket is covered with white linen, symbolizing the shroud in which Christ’s body was wrapped.

We will be starting with Mass at 5:00 pm. After Mass, we will begin seating everyone for dinner in the Hall. Our buffet-style dinner will start at 6:45, accompanied by music and dancing until 11:00 pm. Semi formal attire.
