The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is an annual ecumenical celebration. Christians around the world are invited to pray for the unity of all Christians, to reflect on scripture together, to participate in jointly-organized ecumenical services, and to share fellowship. In the northern hemisphere, the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is traditionally held every year between January 18th (the Feast of the Confession of Saint Peter) and January 25th (the Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul). In the southern hemisphere, it is often celebrated during the Pentecost season. Your communities are invited to choose the dates that would be appropriate for your context. The annual Catholic Street Missionaries (CSM) SLEEP OUT invites parish and non-parish members to make a bold and courageous decision to join us in SLEEP OUT.. You will be making a true sacrifice by experiencing what it’s like to be homeless and spend one night outside in the cold. Participants will be given a link to their own personalized page where they can ask their community to make a donation in supporting them to sleep outside for the night. The money raised will go directly to Catholic Street Missionaries and be used to bring resources to our homeless brothers and sisters in the streets of downtown Vancouver. Change starts with us.
