St. Anthony’s School welcomes all parishioners to the Remembrance Day Service on Tuesday, November 10, 1:45 PM at Christ the Redeemer Church, to honour those who sacrificed their lives in the service of our country. All are welcome to attend. Additionally, on Wednesday November 11 starting at 10:00 am, we will be offering a memorial wreath on behalf of St. Anthony’s Parish. This wreath will be displayed at the West Vancouver Memorial Arch (across the library). Thank you for recognizing our Veterans, and the service of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Tuesday, November 10 @ 6 pm to 7:30 pm Location: St. Francis de Sales’ School Gym, Burnaby When someone we love considers Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD), we may feel uncertain, afraid, or unsure of what to say or do. As Catholics, we believe that every human life possesses inherent dignity and sacred worth, but how do we put this belief into pastoral and compassionate practice when someone we love is considering MAiD? Join Deacon Larry Worthen, Executive Director of the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA), for a thoughtful and practical talk on how to accompany loved ones who are considering MAiD. Together, we will explore how to navigate these difficult conversations with pastoral compassion, and offer meaningful support while remaining faithful to the Church’s teaching on the dignity of every human person and the sanctity of life. The talk will be followed by an opportunity to ask any questions. Register Here https://bccatholic.ca/event/what-to-do-when-someone-you-love-considers-maid/
