    What is Alpha? Alpha is a basic introduction to the Christian faith.  All guests are welcome for a great meal, great video and an open dialogue about life's big questions in a friendly, welcoming setting. It's no pressure, no cost, and you're more than welcome to just come check out the first few sessions to see if it's for you.  If you have never experienced Alpha - you are invited to come!     Starting date: Tuesday—September 23rd at 7:00 PM. The weekly Saint Anthony’s Christian Meditation group will meet again! Pre-recorded 10 minute talk by Benedictines Fr. John Main or Fr.     The goal of PREP (Parish Religious Education Program) is to assist parents in the religious education of children attending non-Catholic schools in Grades 2 to 7 and to prepare them to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist in Grade 2 and Confirmation in Grade 7.

  • Sleep Out for the homeless

    Fri, Mar 6 @ 6:00PM - Sat, Mar 7 @ 8:00 AM, St. Mary's Parish, 5251 Joyce Street There are so many of God’s beloved children living in physical and spiritual poverty with no one to support them or show them the dignity and love that they so desperately need. The annual Catholic Street Missionaries (CSM) SLEEP OUT invites parish and non-parish members to make a bold and courageous decision to join us in SLEEP OUT.. You will be making a true sacrifice by experiencing what it’s like to be homeless and spend one night outside in the cold.    Participants will be given a link to their own personalized page where they can ask their community to make a donation in supporting them to sleep outside for the night. The money raised will go directly to Catholic Street Missionaries and be used to bring resources to our homeless brothers and sisters in the streets of downtown Vancouver.  Change starts with us.   • Prep – Sacrament of Reconciliation

    Saturday, March 7 @ 10:00 AM, St Anthony's Parish Eight PREP students will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. We thank the catechists, Mrs. Lara, Mrs. Young and Mrs. Mustard, who have been journeying with the children since October 2025 to prepare them for this special milestone in their spiritual life. Please pray for the children as they continue to prepare for the sacrament of 1st Holy Communion in June. Please also pray for 5 Confirmandi, who will be confirmed here at St. Anthony's at Pentecost.  We are welcoming children currently in grade 1 in public or private non-Catholic school to join St. Anthony's PREP after Spring break.
