    Sunday, January 25, @ 11:00 AM - 5:30 PM Location : St Mary's Parish, Vancouver 11am Orientation and Training at St. Mary's Parish Office, 5251 Joyce Street, Vancouver (the office is the small house by the parking lot entrance). 12:30pm Outreach preparation 1:15pm Commute to Downtown for Outreach 5:30pm Event ends Starting Sunday, Jan 25, 2026, Monthly until March 22, 2026 on the 4th Sunday 11:00 AM - 5:30 PM Come and spend a day with Catholic Street Missionaries and reach out to our homeless brothers and sisters on the streets of Vancouver. This one-day training and outreach is open to all young adults (aged 19-39) who feel called to serve Jesus in the poor.     FEBRUARY 18 MASSES AT 9:00 AM & 6:30 PM AND EVERY FRIDAY OF LENT  6:30 PM MASS FOLLOWED BY STATIONS OF THE CROSS Ash Wednesday marks the first day of Lent, the beginning of a 40—day period of self-denial and reflection leading to Easter. On February 18 all parishioners are invited to receive ashes as we embark on our Lenten Journey.  Ash Wednesday, and all Fridays until Easter Sunday (April 05) are obligatory days of abstinence from meat, for those 14 and older in reasonable good health conditions.  “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return”

Sign up at the Foyer if you wish to participate. 40 Days for Life is an internationally focused pro-life campaign with a vision to access God’s power through prayer, fasting, and peaceful vigil for the protection of life from conception to its natural end. You are invited to take part by signing up individually or with your parish group.     Easter Blessing of Baskets

    Holy Saturday April 4th @ 11:00 AM Location Foyer All parishioners are welcome to join us for this tradition, full of beautiful catholic symbolism.  What to put in the basket?  Eggs — symbol of Jesus’ tomb, representing His Resurrection. Meat — symbol of Jesus as The Lamb of God. Bread — reminds us that Jesus is The Bread of Life.  Salt — reminds us that we are The Salt of the Earth.  Oil and vinegar — symbol of the Passion of Christ and the bitter of Passover.  Wine — symbol of the Blood of the Lord.  A white candle — symbol of the Light of the World.  Lastly, the basket is covered with white linen, symbolizing the shroud in which Christ’s body was wrapped.

    Wood Carvings Pop-Up Shop

    9th May and 10th May, after each mass. please have a look at the religious wood carvings that will be for sale in the foyer. These articles are hand crafted by the Christians of the Holy land. With every purchase, we will be supporting Christian families in staying rooted in the Land of Christ. 70 years ago, the Christian population in the Holy Land was 20%, now they are only 1% as more Christians feel pressured to leave their homeland for political reasons. Please note that that only cash will be accepted as payment at this time.

    Weekend of May 9/10 after all weekend Masses. Location : Foyer Please bring a new baby item on Mother’s Day weekend; these will be donated to Birthright BCwhich supports young mothers. Suggestions: Sleepers, onesies, blankets, soothers, sippy cups, or gift cards to purchase diapers and formula. Strollers and furniture cannot be donated for safety reasons. CWL members will be collecting donations in the church entrance. Thank you for your suppot
